Duties/Responsibilities:
· Identifying market trends, competitive landscape, and dairy farmer needs to identify potential product gaps and opportunities.
· Write business cases to assess the viability of new commercial offerings.
· Evaluate the existing portfolio, considering factors such as performance, market demand, and competitive landscape.
· Work with R&D teams to develop new chemical formulations, optimize existing products, and ensure efficacy and safety.
· Ensure all products adhere to relevant environmental and safety regulations and maintain product registrations.
· Identify gaps in the portfolio and recommend new opportunities for solution development.
· Help define pricing, distribution channels, and marketing campaigns to introduce new products to the market and grow share of existing products.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to develop and execute market plans aligned with the company’s strategy and business goals.
· Develop budgets, forecasts, and goals for the solution product portfolio.
· Ensure efficient utilization of budgets, teams, and facilities.
· Communicate the value proposition of the entire solution portfolio to internal and external stakeholders.
· Collaborate closely with innovation, quality, sales, service and finance teammates to assess viability of new offerings, resolve issues with current offerings and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
· Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Actively listen to customer feedback, market trends, and internal insights from sales, service and manufacturing functions.
· Use feedback to inform strategic decisions and product improvements.
· Ability to assess and prioritize products based on their impact on business objectives.
· Make informed decisions about resource allocation.
Travel:
· 10 – 20%: Quarterly field rides will be required to build collaborative working relationships with the sales and service team, engage on farms with customers and represent the company at industry events.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of product marketing/management experience.
· Experience in US animal health industry and related agriculture field preferred.
· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
· Proven track record of product growth and responsible fiscal management.
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build
· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
